Katoor police on the lookout for gang responsible for two-wheeler thefts in Coimbatore

With the help of CCTV footage, police are actively searching for four mysterious individuals who broke into a private hostel and stole a couple of two-wheelers.



Coimbatore: Police are on the lookout for four mysterious persons who stole a couple of two-wheelers parked at a private hostel in Coimbatore.

Raghuvaran (33) who hails from Papanasam Ayyampatti in Thanjavur district, works as a welder and stays at a private hostel in Coimbatore. On May 11, Raghuvaran parked his two-wheeler at the hostel premises as usual after returning from work.

To his shock, the next morning, Raghuvaran found his Activa two-wheeler missing. A R15 Yamaha two-wheeler belonging to Surya, a bank employee from Valparai, who was staying at the same hostel was also reported stolen.

Raghuvaran lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore Kattoor police. Based on the complaint, the police examined the CCTV footage installed at the hostel.



The footage revealed four mysterious people on a bullet bike parking their two-wheeler outside the hostel and breaking into the hostel and stealing the two-wheelers.



Based on the CCTV footage, the police are actively searching for the mysterious persons who escaped. Over five two-wheelers have reportedly been stolen in the same area in the past two months.
