Coimbatore City Commissioner of Police, Pradip Kumar has ordered for two men to be remanded in custody under subsections of the Gangs Act.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Commissioner of Police, Pradip Kumar has ordered the remand of two persons in connection with the murder case of a youth, Santosh Kumar (34) from Coimbatore Kempatty Colony on April 22.
Suresh Kumar (26) and Muthupandi (23) hacked Santosh Kumar to death near Ukkadam Muthumariamman temple with the help of friends. Both men were arrested and remanded in judicial custody with regard to the murder. Various cases have already been pending against Suresh Kumar and Muthupandi.
On the recommendations of the Coimbatore Deputy Commissioner Jayachandran and the Ukkadam Assistant Commissioner of Freight Police, the City Commissioner of Police, Pradip Kumar ordered for Suresh Kumar and Muthupandi to be remanded in custody under subsections of the Gangs Act for continuing to engage in criminal activities.
