Coimbatore: A man was involved in smuggling ration rice near Nachipalayam in Coimbatore. Madukkarai police were searching for the Unidentified person who had brutally hacked the smuggler to death. Police have arrested a relative of the murdered man.
Ramanathan (39) hails from Theni district. His wife Rajeswari. They have 2 children. Also, Ramanathan has been living with his family in the Babaji Nagar area of Velandavalam on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border for the last 10 years.

In this situation, Ramanathan, who went out the night before yesterday, bought food at 8 in the morning and came to the house where he was staying. Then, at around 10 am, a woman from the same area passed by Ramanathan's house. He was found lying dead with cuts on his head. She subsequently informed the Madukkarai police.
Following this, the police arrived and conducted an investigation. Also, District SP V. Badrinarayanan and Perur DSP Thirumal visited the spot and inspected it. The Madukkarai police were searching for the unidentified persons who killed Ramanathan.
In this case, it was revealed that his cousin Murugan (35) from Theni district who murdered Ramanathan. He was arrested by the special police. During the first phase of the investigation, it is learned that Ramanathan, who went to Theni on the 18th, tried to approach inappropriately towards Murugan's wife.
Later, when Murugan came to know about the incident, he got into a fight with his wife and rebuked her and his wife has gone to her mother's house. Murugan, who was in a state of mental turmoil over the incident, left for Coimbatore from Theni. On the morning of the day of the murder, while Ramanathan was sleeping in his room under the influence of alcohol, Murugan has slashed him with the scythe he had hidden.
Ramanathan died on the spot. It is also revealed that Murugan escaped from there. The police are conducting a serious investigation to ascertain if there are any other persons connected with this incident
