Two sisters petition Tirupur District Collector to meet CM to donate their savings to Sri Lankans

The sisters, who are studying at a Government School, wished to donate their Rs.3000 savings to the needy Sri Lankan people.



Tirupur: Two sisters studying at a Government School in Tirupur have filed a petition with the District Collector's Office seeking permission to meet the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin to donate their savings to the needy people of Sri Lanka.



Prema, an eighth-grader, and Uma, an eighth-grader from Ganapathipalayam Government School in Tirupur petitioned the District Collector S Vineeth to meet the CM to present a cheque of Rs.3000 as a donation toward the Sri Lankan people who are reeling under the crumbled economy.



They also petitioned the District Collector S Vineeth with banners to raise awareness of the erstwhile yellow bag(Manjapai).
