Horse breeding awareness in Pollachi: Horse racing on behalf of DMK youth wing

A horse race was held on behalf of the DMK youth wing near Pollachi to create awareness among the public about horse breeding.


Coimbatore: A horse race was held at Negamam - Rangam Puthur Medu near Pollachi on behalf of the youth wing of Coimbatore South District near Pollachi.

This was done to create awareness to the public the one year record of DMK rule and to create awareness among the farmers and the general public about horse breeding.



Coimbatore South District DMK in-charge Dr. Varadarajan attended and flagged off the horse race.

More than a hundred horses from various districts including Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and Dindigul participated. The competition was held in five categories namely Small, Big, Middle and Climb Ride, Carriage Ride. The target was set at a distance of 400 meters.

On the climb ride to cross this distance the owners mounted the horse and the horses galloped towards the winning goal.



Similarly, a large number of people applauded and watched as the horses roared in the locked cart. Winning trophies were awarded to the last successful horse owners.
