The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin arrived in Coimbatore on Wednesday evening by air from Chennai to participate in various events being held in Coimbatore and Nilgiris districts.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin arrived in Coimbatore on Wednesday evening by air from Chennai to participate in various events being held in Coimbatore and Nilgiris districts from May 19 - 22.
DMK cadres accorded a rousing reception to their leader, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin even as he arrived at the airport in Coimbatore.
The Chief Minister will inaugurate the Porunai Archaeological Excavation Exhibition and the One-Year Achievement Exhibition of the Government of Tamil Nadu at 9.30 am on Thursday at the city's VOC Grounds. He will then hold discussions with the entrepreneurs at a private star hotel on Avinashi Road at 10 am. Later, the Chief Minister will proceed to Ooty by road after lunch at Mettupalayam.
The Chief Minister M K Stalin will stay at the Ooty Government Guest House on Thursday night. On Friday morning, May 20, the CM will inaugurate the flower show at the Ooty Government Botanical Gardens and also visit the exhibition. He is also scheduled to participate in the 200th-anniversary celebrations of Ooty and the launch of the Government Welfare Scheme on May 21.
The CM will arrive back at Coimbatore on May 22 and leave for Chennai. Meanwhile, officials say that there is a possibility of the CM also inaugurating the completed Kavundampalayam and Sungam flyovers in Coimbatore during his visit.
A total of 4,000 police personnel have been deployed in Coimbatore and Nilgiris districts ahead of the Chief Minister's visit.
