Tempo van collides with bike near Pollachi

One person was killed and two others, including a 3-month-old baby, were injured when a tempo van collided with a bike in the Kulathuputhur section of the Meenkarai road near Pollachi.


Coimbatore: Iman Hussain (29) hails from Ambarampalayam Mosque street near Pollachi. He was riding his bike with his wife Nasrin (26) and a three-month-old baby boy to a wedding in Vadakkancherry.

At that time, a tempo van coming from Kulathuputhur section collided with a two wheeler while passing near Kulathuputhur section on Meenkarai road. Iman Hussein, who was driving a two-wheeler, was seriously injured and died on the spot.

Nasrin and his 3-year-old son were rushed to Pollachi Government Hospital by 108 ambulance. Anaimalai police recovered the body of Iman Hussain and sent it to Pollachi Government Hospital for autopsy. Anaimalai police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
