Tamil Nadu Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan has said that there is no truth in the allegations that the tomato virus has spread. Realizing the seriousness of the problem caused by Shavarma food in the state of Kerala, action was being taken in stores across Tamil Nadu and that there was no truth in the news that Shavarma was banned in Tamil Nadu.
Tirupur: Health Secretary Radhakrishnan today inspected the construction work of a medical college and hospital at Perichipalayam, Dharapuram Road, Tirupur.
Later, Radhakrishnan, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary, who distributed free tablets to first-year students at Tirupur Medical College, met reporters.
He said that many students have benefited by bringing 11 medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, India. He said that although the coronavirus infection was currently under control in Tamil Nadu, the public should be under careful and those who did not get vaccinated should be required to wear a face mask.
He said that there was no truth in the claim that the impact of the tomato virus in Kerala was in Tamil Nadu and that the Kerala State Health Department had stated that it was not present in the state of Kerala and thus they had confirmed that there was no impact.
He also said that there is no need to worry about this in Tamil Nadu. Realizing the seriousness of the problem caused by Shavarma food in the state of Kerala, he said that action was being taken in stores across Tamil Nadu and that there was no truth in the news that Savarma was banned in Tamil Nadu and that such a ban had been imposed. That said the food should be processed and well cooked and sold within two hours.
The qualifying examination date for the postgraduate medical course announced by the Government after six years will be announced soon. He also said that the Tirupur District Medical College at a cost of Rs.340 crore has asked the Public Works Department to complete the construction of the hospital by August.
He was speaking to first-year medical student-athletes after the event he asked that students with a service mindset should study and work academically and that you who have joined the college in a challenging situation should find new drugs through research.
