Actor Ranjith expressed his support to the protestors at VOC grounds in the city

Students and the youth of our city have gathered at the VOC park grounds and are protesting to lift the ban on Jallikattu. Actor Ranjith visited this venue to offer his support to the protesting students and youth.

When speaking to the press after his visit he said, “Students are conducting protests all over Tamil Nadu to lift the ban on Jallikattu. For the first time, students and other people from the state are conducting a protest without help from any politicians. It must also be noted that the protests are peaceful and non-violent. The protests stand as an example to the countries all over the world.

The protests will bring the desired result without the help of the politicians. The state and the central governments are playing with the rights and feelings of people. The protests have created a revolution among the students. From now on no political party can interfere with the interest of Tamils.”

“The actions of the actors who are supporting PETA is bringing shame to them. They will be the victims of people's anger soon.” he said.
