A sudden fire at the forest regions was reported in Coimbatore limits that is said to have originated from Kerala last evening, Wednesday. It spread through the borders of Kangan to engulf regions in Anaikatti south circles including Nandukuzhi, Perumal Mudivu slope, Thudiyalur division.
Acting on a tip-off, forest workers and labourers led by the Thadagam division Forest officer rushed to the spot. Forest officers stated that 4 teams from Coimbatore, Boluvampatti forest ranges are in the process to extinguish the fire.
