The Kattoor police have registered cases against Kottai Sethu of VCK, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal and three others for creating a dispute with a Hotel Manager in Ram Nagar as he refused to fix them a room the previous night.
Coimbatore: The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Party administrators in Coimbatore including Kottai Sethu have been booked for attacking a Hotel Manager and the Owner.
A lodge named Aristo is functioning in Ram Nagar Coimbatore. Raja, (34), son of Chinnathambi runs the inn and Maideen works as the Hotel Manager. Reportedly on Sunday midnight, Kottai Sethu and three others of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal arrived at the inn, drunk, and demanded a room, which the Manager Maideen refused. Then they left.
Four persons, including Kottai Sethu, who returned to the lodge the next evening, showed their party's visiting card and questioned their refusal to give room in the early hours the other day. The two parties had a dispute on the issue, and as the dispute escalated, Kottai Sethu and his companions attacked Hotel Owner Raja and the Manager Maideen. Raja suffered injuries to his face and nose and jaw.
An injured Raja was admitted to Coimbatore government hospital for treatment. Raja lodged a complaint with the Kattoor police station. On the complaint, the police have registered a case against Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Party functionary Kottai Sethu and three others and are investigating.
