The Ladies Circle India, an organization that works extensively towards nation building celebrated International Women’s Day.
Coimbatore: The Ladies Circle India, celebrated the International Women’s Day here on 8th March, 2022.
International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year to honor women, to salute their courage, to celebrate their success, and raise awareness about Women’s equality.
Ladies Circle India, a non-profit organization that believes in fostering and strengthening friendship amongst its members along with service to the community, is a standing example of women supporting women.
The Ladies Circle India was started in Coimbatore, the Ladies Circle 1, 50 years ago, in 1969. The organization is now spread over 65 cities in the country and 45 countries all across the globe. A zero-overhead organization, that works extensively towards nation building by contributing extensively in the field of education by building schools and classrooms for the underprivileged.
The Ladies Circle also supports rural women by giving them opportunities to become self-dependent and earn their living, public health, and sanitization, able the disabled through various medical and non-medical channels and various other community service projects. They organize fundraisers and publicity programs to create awareness about their cause in view of gaining society’s support by becoming members, tying up with CSR.
To mark the Golden Jubilee year of Ladies Circle India has launched their international service project supported by their 45 member countries. This project is of dual purpose of providing menstrual hygiene and awareness along with empowering women by providing them employment opportunities.
Today on International Women’s Day the organization recognized women who have contributed relentlessly through their service to society. The 12 women of “ W.O.W” Women Of Worth include
