The Government Arts College Post Graduate and English Department is hosting a 5-day Skill Development contests with ‘English Literature’ as its theme and a 1st year History Student, physically challenged, painted using his legs.
Coimbatore: A physically challenged boy used his legs to paint at the competition held at the Government Arts College on Monday.
Talent and hard work has no barrier, and the first year student of History has once against proved it with his skills to paint using his legs.
Skill Development Programmes, are being conducted at the Government Arts College with English Literature as its theme. Competitions are held for students in the 5-day programme by the Post Graduate and English Department. Competitions including Facial Painting, Memes, Rangoli, Fashion Parades will be held.
Students from 12 Colleges including government, private and government aided colleges participated in the programme.
On the first day today, 7th March, the Face Painting competition is being held.
Akbar Ali, a first-year History Student at Government Arts College who is participating in the Skill Development Competitions at the College, painted on the them ‘protection of tigers’.
What surprised the viewers is that he painted with at most ease using his legs, and never gave a moment of pity for the viewers. His talent alone surprised those present at the venue.
Students painted on topics including Nature, Tiger Conservation, Adam and Eve, Abdul Kalam’s Wings of Fire, Phoenix.
Winners were presented certificates and prizes.
