Tamil Puligal Party, State Deputy General Secretary has alleged that appropriate sections were not filed by the police against BJP H.Raja for passing derogatory comments and statements during a protest in Coimbatore, last year.

Coimbatore: Tamil Puligal Party, State Deputy General Secretary has alleged that appropriate sections were not filed by the police against BJP H.Raja for passing derogatory comments and statements during a protest in Coimbatore, last year.

Marx, Deputy State Secretary of Tamil Puligal told the press that "On December, 22, 2021, BJP's former National Secretary H.Raja during a protest at Bharathiar University here, spoke derogatorily about Former Tamil Nadu CMs Karunanidhi, Annadurai and Periyar. His speech sparked wide spread controversies and condemnations", he recalled.

In view of the same, a complaint was lodged with the Vadavalli police stationbin Coimbatore, on behalf of the Tamil Puligal Party. However, the police did not book him under appropriate sections instead booked him for gathering people without permission. A recent RTI also confirmed that H.Raja should also be booked under appropriate sections for his unparliamentary speech and disrupting harmony, he added.

Hence, we suspect if the City Police and Superintendent of police are acting in favour of the BJP, Marx added.
