The oath taking ceremony of the council members in Coimbatore will be held at the Victoria Hall itself, as the renovation is almost complete and the preparations are being made for the ceremony.
Coimbatore: The Victoria Hall is being prepared with necessary arrangements and is getting ready for the oath taking ceremony of the council members of the city on 2nd March.
An announcement was made on behalf of the Corporation that the newly elected members of the Council would be sworn in at the Corporation Auditorium at R.S. Puram, as the renovation process to accommodate 100 people was taking more time. However, with 96 percent of the work completed at the Victoria Hall, it has been reported that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at 10 am on the 2nd March the hall in town hall.
The polling for the urban local body elections in Coimbatore was held on 19th February, and the DMK led secular alliances won 96 out of the 100 wards in the city. The Council members will be taking their pledge at the Victoria Hall, the council meeting hall of the city on 2nd March.
