213 centers have been set up in Pollachi city, North and South Unions to administer polio drops to 23,510 children.
Coimbatore: The vaccination drive has been going on busily since morning in Pollachi. The drive was started in 213 centers in Pollachi revenue division.
As per the instructions of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to create a polio-free Tamil Nadu, polio drops are being administered to children under the age of 5 across Tamil Nadu today.
A total of 213 centers have been set up in Pollachi city, North and South Unions to administer the polio drops to 23,510 children.
Special camps are set up at all places like Central Bus Stand, Railway Station, Government Hospitals, Primary Health Centers and Anganwadi Centers. Parents of the eligible children visited the camps and ensured that their children and give polio drops.
The camp was started by Dr. Varadarajan, DMK South District Officer-in-Charge at Pollachi Central Bus Stand.
