Tirupur:The parents of the students who are trapped in Ukraine amidst the war have submitted a petition to the Tirupur District Collector requesting for safe returning of their children pursuing medicine in the country.
The parents of students from India are worried and panic-stricken at the Ukraine attack as their children are pursuing their studies in the country.With most students from Tamil Nadu, parents have demanded action to rescue them. Reportedly, Aravind, the eldest son of Indrani Panneerselvam of Muthanampalayam, Tirupur, is pursuing first-year MBBS in Ukraine, who had left to the country four months back, and the tickets are now cancelled. They added that the students are hiding in the underground rooms below the hostel building and the food supplies are fast depleting. They have submitted a petition seeking the safe recovery of their son from Ukraine.

Similarly, parents of Muthyalu Sabarish, son of Chithra- Vasu of Kumar Nagar in Tirupur is pursuing 6th-year medicine in the same college also petitioned the Collector to rescue their son before the war intensified.
The two students spoke through telephone to the reporters here stated that the situation has not worsened there but, the food supplies are dwindling. They added that the embassy has been taking steps, but they were unable to contact them and demanded that they be rescued as soon as possible.
