Coimbatore: The Planet Warrior, along with the Coimbatore Corporation has taken on a mission to create clean Kovai is engaged in removing wastes dumped on roads. "The Planet Warrior" has been formed to create Pollution-free Coimbatore and from today,26th February, The Planet Warrior is in the process of removing garbage dumped on all roadsides and streets in Coimbatore in collaboration with Coimbatore Corporation. They started their work in RS Puram on the first day today.
Divya Chetty, the Coordinator, The Planet Warrior, said,” The Planet Warrior Organisation has mingled with RAAC and Coimbatore Corporation, to bring awareness about waste management to the people and work has started from today.”
She said that each area in the city would be visited every 15 days to clean it and create awareness about waste management amongst the people. “We are also creating waste management awareness about waste produced in Coimbatore industries such as paper, plastics, metals, etc. The corporation sanitary workers of Coimbatore Corporation have been very helpful in this work. We have decided to continue this as we cannot specify the time for the waste disposal work," she said. She also stated that interested people shall volunteer.
