Coimbatore: A 33-year-old man has been arrested in Kinathukadavu for stealing in two shops. The Kinathukadavu police arrested a youth based on suspicions and investigations revealed that the man is involved in robbing a consulting agency and a shop nearby.
The Kinathukadavu police caught hold of youth upon doubts near Sikkampalayam bar in Kinathukadavu. Investigations revealed that the youth is Balaji, 33, from Tirupur Oil Mill residential area. What came as a shock next was that he revealed that he is involved in robbing money from a two-wheeler, auto consulting agency in Sikkampalayam near Kinathukadavu and another shop in the neighbourhood. He has also been charged with theft at police stations at Trichy, Tirupur North, Avinashi, Karumathampatti, Annur and Saravanampatti.
After serving his sentence in Coimbatore Central Jail for the past 15 months for theft in Tirupur, he walked out of jail and went to his grandmother's house in Kinathukadavu. Allegedly he broke open through the cement sheds in the two shops to fetch money for alcohol. This was followed by a visit to the TASMAC shop to buy liquor. However, his fairy tale escape ended here as he was nabbed by the police and was arrested.
