Pollachi: The National Service Scheme of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education organized a Communication and outreach program highlighting the need and importance of the Covid19 vaccine along with the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcast on 24th February.

National Service Scheme of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education in Association with Government of India Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Field Outreach Bureau Coimbatore has organized Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme on COVID vaccination.

The program also covered Atal Innovation Mission and Self Employment and Talent Utilisation, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Soil Health Card, PM Kissan Samman Nidhi, Swachhta Abhiyan at Achipatti, Pollachi North, Coimbatore.

S. R. Chandrasekaran, Field Publicity Assistant, Field Outreach Bureau welcomed the august gathering, followed by Kareena B. Thengamam, Deputy Director, Field Outreach Bureau delivering an Introductory address. The Chief Guest Thakare Shubham Dnyandeorao, Sub-Collector, Pollachi, Coimbatore delivered a special address on COVID vaccination and Central Government Scheme. P. Hemalatha Panickar, Scientist-D, Bureau of Indian Standards, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Coimbatore delivered a special address on Indian Standards. V. Girija Sivakami, Education Officer, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Coimbatore delivered a special address on the Employment of Women and Atal Innovation Mission.Dr. M. Ranjith Kumar, Medical Officer Government Hospital, Pollachi advised the public and students to create awareness on COIVD vaccination. Srirangam R. Murali, Programme Executive All India Radio, Coimbatore delivered special address on Government schemes. S. Mohan Block Development Officer (BP) Pollachi North, Coimbatore and G. Anand Block Development Officer (VP) Pollachi North, Coimbatore attended the program. C. Meena Kumari CDPO ICDS, Pollachi North, Coimbatore demonstrated the healthy foods. S.M. Ranganathan President, Achipatti Panchayat, Pollachi participated. Dr. A. Dharmaraj Director, Extension Programme Karpagam Academy of Higher Education. Coimbatore felicitated the programme. SR. Bilal CEO, High Class NGO, Pollachi, Coimbatore insisted public to get vaccinated. K. Veerasamy NSS Officer Karpagam Academy of Higher Education Coimbatore proposed vote of thanks.

More than 75 NSS volunteers, more than 40 ICDS employees and 35 Self Help Group members from Pollachi participated in this event.
