The Pollachi AIADMK MLA was addressing the media after the 74th birth anniversary celebration of former CM and AIADMK President, J Jayalalitha.
Pollachi: The 74th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister, late J Jayalalitha was commemorated on Thursday, February 24, in Pollachi. AIADMK MLA Pollachi Jayaraman attended the memorial function and later addressed the press.
The AIADMK workers led by Pollachi MLA Jayaraman paid floral tributes to Jayalalitha's portrait in front of the Central Bus Stand on behalf of AIADMK in Pollachi and also distributed sweets to the public.
While addressing the media, Pollachi MLA Jayaraman decried DMK’s urban local polls victory as a cheap trick. He stated that DMK took advantage of the financial status of the public during a pandemic and thus gained votes by giving them money, which backfired on the AIADMK. 'The real victory has been secured by AIADMK. The public was threatened and intimidated into voting for DMK, thereby collapsing a democratic verdict. But the public will stand with AIADMK in the upcoming elections. The arrest of former Minister Jayakumar is an example of the repression of the DMK regime, which is, again DMK’s iconic attitude. We will not be afraid of this since this was a scourge of democracy and with time, AIADMK will answer all this,' vowed Pollachi MLA Jayaraman.
