Coimbatore: With the process of conducting urban local body polls came to an end, the Model Code of Conduct in Tamil Nadu has been withdrawn, as per the state election commission.

Henceforth, the 86 flying squads formed in the Coimbatore district to monitor the election violations have been withdrawn. The GOS fitted in the flying squad vehicle are being removed.
The urban local body polls were held in a single phase in the district for 100 wards in the Corporation, 7 Municipalities, and 33 Town Panchayats in a single phase.
