The DMK has won a landslide victory grabbing the most number of Ward seats in the recently-concluded Urban Local Body elections.
Coimbatore: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) conquers Kinathukadavu Town Panchayat with a landslide victory even as election results for the Urban Local Body polls were announced.
The Kinathukadavu Town Panchayat has been the DMK’s empire for years since the party secures most seats in elections in this area. DMK, AIADMK, BJP and DMDK contested in 15 wards in Kinathukadavu in the Urban Local Body polls.
The counting of votes began at 8 am at the Premier Mill Government Higher Secondary School from 8 am on today, in which, DMK won in 12 Wards. AIADMK won in 2 Wards, while the remaining one Ward was captured by an independent candidate.
