Udhayanidhi stated that public reaction pointed to a victory for DMK, but though the same mood prevailed during the Assembly elections, DMK could not win in Coimbatore. "DMK has implemented various welfare schemes for Coimbatore in the nine-month period after winning elections in Tamil Nadu, so vote for DMK in local polls. The TN Chief Minister spread awareness on the importance of vaccination and made people get their doses on time. Though the AIADMK had left Rs.6 lakh crore debt in Government coffers, the Chief Minister was fulfilling promises despite that.
Our scheme of providing ration cardholders with cash aid in two installments of Rs.2,000 and Rs.4,000, free bus facility for women, Aavin milk being reduced by Rs.3 per litre, reduction of petrol price, waiving off loans taken by women self-help groups, ease of access to jewellery loans in the Co-operative Bank are all TN Government schemes that have benefitted almost 13 lakh people," reiterated Udhayanidhi Stalin.
“After the financial situation in Tamil Nadu is corrected, a sum of Rs.1,000 per month will be paid to the housewives. Women are more likely to win in all areas where I campaign. Our Chief Minister M K Stalin has brought about many welfare assistance schemes for women,” he added.
Criticizing the opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami of forming a Government "under the table" highlighting the Koovathur issue, Udhayanidhi Stalin stated that the DMK on the other hand had formed the Government with public support and was strong. Even Rahul Gandhi has stated that the BJP shall not form a Government in Tamil Nadu. "So, I urge the public to vote for DMK for a good local body governance to take the welfare schemes to the public. Corrupt people like EPS will be convicted," he added.
Udhayanidhi Stalin also promised to shift the Vellalore garbage dump adjoining Podanur, immediately. "Underground sewerage scheme will be implemented in areas under Kinathukadavu Assembly constituency, water will be supplied once a week, health centres will be set up in Ettimadai area, action will be taken to stop the passenger train at Chettipalayam railway station and water connections in Madukkarai Municipality will be provided expeditiously.
A value-added tomato factory will be set up. An e-burial ground will be provided to the Panchayats belonging to the Madukkarai Union in Othakkal Mandapam area,” listed Udhayanidhi Stalin on promises that DMK would fulfill if they won the urban local body polls.
