The Masi Maha Thiruther festival is celebrated annually at The Arulmigu Aranganathaswamy Temple in Karamadai, which is regarded as the most famous Vaishnava temple in Kongu Region. The much-awaited Karamadai festival began on the 11th of February, with flag hoisting ceremony, followed by which the event of bringing Bettadamman from Mount Bettadamman was performed on Tuesday.
A Kalyanotsavam, the wedding of Lord Ranganathar with Sridevi and Bhppdevi was held at 6.30 am on Wednesday.
More than 1,000 devotees gathered and witnessed the event chanting holy names. The main event of the festival, the Masimaha Thiruthrotam festival, will be held on Thursday.
