Elderly woman injured in road accident in Kinathukadavu

An elderly woman travelling in a car near Kovilpalayam in Kinathukadavu was injured after the Eicher truck in front of the car turned right without signalling.


Coimbatore: An elderly woman was injured in a road accident in Kinathukadavu on Tuesday.

Agneeswaran (25), son of Singaravel of Kollupalayam near Pollachi was travelling in a car along with his grandmother, Rajakumari onTuesday to Pollachi. An Eicher truck in front of Agneeswaran’s car reportedly turned right without signalling on the Kovilpalayam road near Kinathukadavu. Rajakumari was injured in the accident.

Based on the complaint lodged by Agneeswaran at Kinathukadavu police station, Muthusamy, a native of Chettipudur, the driver of the Eicher truck has been booked and is being questioned.
