Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government has nodded a yes for the offline classes for kindergarten and playschool children, and the schools will resume functioning in Coimbatore.
After a long gap, LKG and UKG classes are scheduled to begin on Wednesday. The restrictions imposed in the state due to the high prevalence of Covid are being relaxed gradually, and the direct classes began in schools and colleges from the 1st of this month. The Government of Tamil Nadu has now permitted the opening of schools for nursery classes like LKG, UKG, and Play School.
The school administrations are directed to adhere to additional and scrutinized attention in order to ensure children, who are below five years of age do not attract infection. Primary education authorities have instructed them to conduct exciting lessons for the children and also make them maintain social distancing.
Some government schools and Anganwadi centers have LKG, UKG classes. The authorities are planning to start classes from 21st after completion of elections as schools will be used as polling booths for urban local body elections.
