The Nallur Police of Tirupur district are on the hunt for the gang which beheaded a 23-year-old baniyan factory employee in Tirupur on Sunday, as they tried to rob him.
Tirupur: A 23-year-old was decapitated in Tirupur, Serangadu area on Sunday while an attempt was made to rob him and his friend who were on their way back home.
Satish, (23), working at a baniyan company was beheaded by a gang of five members on Sunday night, while they tried to steal his belongings. Satish hailed from Kumbakonam and used to work with Ranjith, (22) of Srirangam, Trichy at a baniyan company in SAP area Reportedly, the two friends shifted to another baniyan company in Serangadu region, as their previous company work was not satisfactory.
Satish and Ranjith, on Sunday, went for a drink at the TASMAC outlet as it was their day off, and were walking back home through the Serangadu forest area at 10 pm. A gang of five men on three motorbikes stopped them and attempted robbing their belongings, in which, the gang took Satish in a dispute and ending up beheading him.

Ranjith who survived injuries is under treatment at the Tirupur Government Hospital. An investigation by Nallur police revealed this information. While Satish's body has been sent for post mortem, the search for the head is on.
