Posting a series of questions on the DMK’s regimes, the AIADMK President, Edappadi Palaniswamy alleges Chief Minister Stalin of ignoring Coimbatore district.
Coimbatore: The Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam head, Edappadi K Palaniswamy campaigned here at CODISSIA on 14th, Monday, ahead of the urban local body elections.
The AIADMK party president and the opposition leader, Edappadi Palaniswamy had arrived at Coimbatore for campaigning. Addressing at the event, EPS alleged the Chief Minister of ignoring the Coimbatore district and stated that the ruling party is only keen on curbing schemes of AIADMK.
He questioned what has the Chief Minister done for the public, especially Coimbatore, till date since he assumed office and asked what are the plans he has for the public welfare. Stating that certain media has been popularizing him as the best leader, he said that the DMK government has no concerns the public.
He alleged that the Chief Minister’s sole aim is to freeze the schemes of AIADMK, such as Amma Cements, Amma Restaurants. EPS stated that the law and order situation in the regime is disrupted and murder, robbery is on the rise, and that ghutkha, tobacco and other banned products are seized on a regular basis.
Edappadi Palaniswamy said that the peace in TN has vanished and the state is a land of riots. AIADMK was carrying out plans and schemes after consulting the people, but the DMK has the notion of acquiring assets for the family, for many generations to come, EPS said. Criticizing Senthil Balaji over his comment on power cuts, the AIADMK Chief stated that the Electricity Minister has thus far switched to five parties and is good at cheating.
“AIADMK provided three phase electricity, round-the- clock for the industrial district. But now there is a continuous power cut under the DMK regime and the industry in Coimbatore has been completely affected. There is an economic crisis. During the three-month period, 24-hours of three-phase electricity was supplied to the rural areas during the AIADMK regime. But farmers await electricity during the DMK’s regime.”
Paalaniswamy further stated that 70 trucks with gift items for the public has been distributing in the city under Senthil Balaji’s leadership, and demanded that the public receive whatever the DMK men provide, and vote for AIADMK, alleging them as predatory and murderous.
Palaniswamy stated that the AIADMK spokesman Kalyanasundaram, reported of the bribing situation to the police, and instead the cops took away Kalayan Sundaram instead of taking action against DMK men. He said that the police are working to support the ‘culprits’.
Expressing that he is worried at the stature of the Tamil Nadu Police in DMK’s regime, Palaniswamy said that AIADMK took immediate action against anyone who made a mistake.
He added that the journalists are continued to being booked. Palaniswamy, mentioning that the NEET was brought into TN on 25th December 2010, by the then DMK Union Minister of State for Health in the Congress and the coalition, said that the CM has till date never replied for the face-to-face discussion on the matter.
“NEET examination was cancelled in the Supreme Court in 2013. They subsequently appealed and filed a review petition. It was the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa who denied it putting forth that the people of Tamil Nadu will suffer greatly. The Congress and DMK jointly filed a revision petition and got the approval.”
He recalled that AIADMK led the regime on the foot prints of MGR and Jayalalithaa, and stated that the public in Coimbatore would chase away DMK if they continue to unleash lies. Palaniswamy also stated that the promise of providing Rs.1,000 to the housewives has not been provided although it has been nine months since assuming office, and people in Erode questioned Udhayanidhi Stalin about this. With 45-lakh people with jewellery loan waiver, only 13-lakh people are quoted eligible, after inspection. He said that the 35-lakh lot is regretting voting for DMK.
He stated that AIADMK wishes to regain its lost regime, by winning the local body elections in Coimbatore.
