Religion and castes can be abolished only through love marriages A special cell should be set up in the police force to ensure protection to such couples, said TPDK General Secretary Ramakrishnan who added that love marriages were on the rise during Covid period.

"Over 400 weddings were solemnised at Periyar Padipagam during the Covid lockdown. I have headed over 6,000 weddings thus far and those who are married are mostly happy. "Love has no religion nor caste. And, so we request that our union must not be separated with these prejudices," told the newly wedded.

The newlywed expressed their happiness of being able to get tie knot on the occassion of Valentine's day.
