More than 100 including MLAs of AIADMK demonstrating in front of the Ramanathapuram police station, crying out asking DMK Minister Senthil Balaji to leave city, and also alleged that AIADMK members were wilfully booked wherever they campaigned
Coimbatore: AIADMK cadre demonstrating in front of the Ramanathapuram Police station alleging that the party members were purposefully charged during campaign in the city. They subsequently shouted and demanded that DMK Minister Senthil Balaji has to leave city.
In the run-up to the urban local body elections, intensive campaigns are being conducted by various parties across Coimbatore district. Meanwhile, the AIADMK had accused the police of suing them purposefully at several places where they were campaigning.
In a protest against this, ADMK MLAs including Amman K Arjunan, PRG Arun Kumar and Jayaram, who had gathered at Ramanathapuram police station in Coimbatore, accused the police of falsely prosecuting them, and stated that it was triggered by Minister Senthil Balaji.
They also pointed out that the police had taken action against AIADMK for holding the vehicle captive, belonging to DMK and handed it over to the election flying squad, as they distributed the gifts to the voters in Sugunapuram area late night on Sunday.
The AIADMK men are protesting against minister Senthil Balaji by raising slogans to leave Coimbatore. Due to this, there tension gripped the area.
