Two boys from the city, held a covid awareness run, performing Silambam in hand for a straight 10-kilometers from Chinnavedampatti to Kovilpalayam, thus creating a record.
Coimbatore: Two boys who continued to run for 10-km in Coimbatore with silambam in their hands to spread awareness on Covid, and by doing so, the duo created a record.

Gunasekaran and Jayanthi's son Rupesh, 6, from Chinnavedampatti in Coimbatore district is learning silambam along with karate training. A few days back, Rupesh and Saravanan, took a 10-kilometer run and along with Silambam in their hands.

They started from Chinnavedampatti to Kovilpalayam and returned to Chinnavedampatti via Keeranatham. This achievement is now in the Noble World Record Book.
