Three boys escaped by injuring Kanaga Muthu in his hands and legs after embezzling Rs. 2,200 from him. In a cinematic rendezvous with Kanagamuthu in the government hospital, the three boys get caught and were later arrested there.
Coimbatore: Three boys have been arrested for stabbing a private company employee and extorting money from him in the Thamaraikkulam area near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore.
Kanagamuthu (34), son of Annathurai of DG Nagar, Kovilpalayam near Kinathukkadavu, was working in a private company in the Sendrampalayam division.
Yesterday he finished working in his company and walked to board the bus to the Thamaraikkulam bus stand to go home.
While walking near the Thamaraikkulam crematorium, three boys on a motorcycle came along and threatened Kanagamuthu with a knife and demanded money. They have stabbed the Kanagamuthu who said there was no money.
In this, they snatched Rs. 2,200 from Kanaga Muthu who was injured in the hands and feet and escaped with lightning speed.
Following this, the relatives rescued the injured Kanagamuthu and sent him to the Pollachi Government Hospital for treatment.
In this case, the 3 boys who snatched the money from Kanagamuthu were speeding on the same motorcycle when one of the boys stumbled,fell and injured his leg.
While receiving treatment in Pollachi Govt Hospital, Kanaga Muthu saw the boy who had stabbed him and identified him to the police.
Police arrested the boy and identified him as a 17-year-old boy from Bharat Nagar, 2nd Street, Pollachi.
Kinathukadavu Police Inspector Senthilkumar, Sub-Inspector Arul Prakash registered a case and arrested the three boys.
