Spotted deer cub dies and not attended to by staff at Coimbatore VOC Park Zoo

The body of a dead cub which has been unattended to by the park staff for many days has raised many eyebrows. .


Coimbatore: The death of a spotted deer cub at the Coimbatore VOC Zoo has come as a shock.



A spotted deer had delivered two cubs 15 days ago at the Coimbatore VOC Park Zoo.

One of the cubs died and lay in the same place for a long time. The body of the dead cub has caused a great deal of bad odour. The staff said only one calf had been delivered by the deer until now, and with the other calf found dead, it has raised a lot of eyebrows as to how the animals were monitored and taken care of. .



The other animals in the zoo are at risk of infection due to this negligence of the staff. There has also been a call for an inquiry into how the deer died.
