Ahead of the local urban body elections, polling stations inspected by police in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore. Party posters and flagpoles were checked for violating election rules.
Coimbatore: Police inspected the polling booths for the Coimbatore Kinathukadavu Municipal Election. Elections for 15 ward councillors in Kinnathukadavu municipality will be held on the 19th. Polling centres have been set up in Kinnathukadavu municipality.
The Kinnathukadavu police today inspected the polling booths set up in government schools. Police including Kinathukkadavu Police Station Inspector Senthilkumar, Assistant Inspector Arul Prakash and Special Assistant Inspector Chandran visited 15 wards in Kinathukkadavu municipality and inspected the polling stations there. Police inspected the polling station at Bhagavathipalayam Government Primary School under the Kinnathukadavu Municipality, inspected the security arraignments and basic facilities at the polling centers and advised the teachers who have been assigned duty for the elections there.
Also, they checked whether there were party posters and flagpoles are adhering to the election rules.
