AIADMK candidate for the 7th ward of the corporation makes tall promises ahead of the local body elections. She said that people will give their full support to AIADMK as it has given numerous projects in Coimbatore during the last 10 years of AIADMK rule.
Coimbatore: AIADMK’s woman candidate and mayoral candidate Kripalini Karthikeyan who is contesting in the 7th ward of Coimbatore met reporters. Speaking then, she said, “I am contesting in the 7th Ward of Coimbatore Corporation.” She thanked the party leaders O. Panneerselvam, Edappadi Palanichamy, former minister SP Velumani and all the legislators for the opportunity.
She said “AIADMK government has been bringing the necessary projects to the people for the last 10 years. That is why people are giving a special welcome.” She added “for the last 9 months people have been left without basic amenities like drinking water and road facilities, especially on behalf of the corporation.”
Adding that if given the opportunity, she would take steps to convert the vehicles into battery vehicles and turn the corporation into a clean and green corporation. “No work has been done in Coimbatore for the past 9 months.” she said, adding that people are mainly complaining about problems like road facilities and littering in all the areas where she is going to collect votes and if she wins, she will focus on solving these problems, she said.
She also said that the non-payment of Pongal money and the poor quality of the gift package had created a stir among the people.
