Coimbatore: Coimbatore: Police have arrested a couple from Chennai in connection with the mysterious murder of a driver of a private taxi company in Coimbatore. A laptop, 20 cell phones and a rolling pin were confiscated from them.
On the morning of the 9th, a Red Taxi driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances near his taxi near Onampalayam under the Coimbatore Vadavalli police station. Vadavalli police have registered a case of death of suspects including 103/2022, 147 and were investigating.
Under the orders of the Coimbatore District SP Selvanagaratnam, 4 special forces were formed. During the investigation, it was revealed that Stephen 45, from Chennai, had booked a taxi last night on the 8th and his wife Amalorpavam had accompanied him.
Subsequently, the two were detained by the personnel in Chennai and brought to Coimbatore. The investigation revealed that the taxi driver with attacked by a stick, he was injected with poison and he was killed. Various items have been confiscated from the couple, including a rolling pin, more than 20 cell phones and a laptop.
There are 4 murder cases against Stephen in Chennai and 2 murder cases against his wife Amalorpavam. The couple usually injects poison to kill the victim and then robs.
