TMMK women wing protest against the Karnataka government

The women's wing of the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam staged a protest in the Ukkadam area of Coimbatore to condemn the incident. More than 50 women wearing hijabs chanted slogans condemning the Karnataka government and students involved in the incident.



Coimbatore: The Karnataka government a few days ago banned Islamic students from wearing the hijab in schools and colleges.

An Islamic student was seen wearing a hijab at a college in the state of Karnataka yesterday as Islamic organizations strongly opposed the move, with some students wearing saffron and chanting "Jai Shriram" behind the student.

The video of the woman walking alone chanting "Allahu Akbar" has been circulating on social media since yesterday. Fierce opposition is expressed.

More than 50 women wearing hijabs chanted slogans condemning the Karnataka government and students involved in the incident. They expressed their desire to dress according to the norms of their religion and said that wearing hijab is a religious doctrine. They also questioned why wearing the hijab makes others angry.
