Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district police took out a flag march on Monday to instil confidence among the citizens in view of the upcoming local body polls to be held on February 19.
Over 225 police personnel led by Inspectors of various police stations including Ukkadam, RS Puram, Kattoor and Singanallur took part in the March that started from Sivanandha Colony.
The police marched through Kanappa Nagar, Rathinapuri and culminated at 60 feet road.
Eight new patrol vehicles attached to the City police also were displayed in the march.
Similar marches will be conducted at all Police limits to boost the confidence of the voters, so that they can come out and excercise their franchise without fear, on the polling date.
