Their contradictory response raised doubts and led to the arrest of the duo. The two are identified as Gunasekaran, 27 of Govindanur area near Pollachi Puravipalayam, and Balaganesh, 23 of Sokkanur.
The police have also registered a case against Gunasekaran and Balaganesh.
