The Kodanad murder-cum-heist case accused, Walayar Manoj’s plea to cancel his bail and imprison him again has been rejected by the Sessions Court Judge, Sanjay Baba.
The Nilgiris: The Kodanad murder-cum-heist accused’s petition to cancel his bail and keep him lodged in prison has been cancelled. The Sessions Court dismissed the petition seeking cancellation of Walayar Manoj’s conditional bail in the Kodanad case.
The trial for the murder of the security guard and robbery at Kodanad estate in Nilgiris district is underway at the Ooty Sessions Court. Walayar Manoj, the accused in the case had obtained conditional bail and stayed in Ooty while appearing at the Court to sign. He recently filed a petition to cancel his bail and put him back in jail on the grounds that he was suffering from lack of accommodation and food.
The petition was heard before Justice Sanjay Baba, on Monday. The Justice heard the arguments of both the prosecution and the defense counsel Munirathinam. He however dismissed Walayar Manoj'splea seeking cancellation of his bail.
