The Coimbatore District Collector Dr. GS Sameeran inspected the vote counting centers set up in the city ahead of the urban local body elections, for safety, hygiene, and infrastructural facilities.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector inspected the vote counting centers that will be used for the forthcoming local body elections in the city on Tuesday.
The municipal elections are to be held in Tamil Nadu in a single phase on the 19th of February.

The vote counting will be held on the 22nd and the vote-counting centres set up in Gudalur, Narasimhanaickenpalayam, Periyanaickenpalayam, Veerapandi in Coimbatore were inspected by the District Collector GS Sameeran on Tuesday.

He reviewed the basic amenities and security arrangements provided at the counting centers. The collector then advised about the tasks that are to be carried out.

A total of 17 centers have been set up in the Coimbatore district for counting votes.
