'Laghu Udyog Bharati' organization starts branches in 17 districts in Tamil Nadu and is helping small and micro-business development

More than 1,700 have been added as members. 'Laku Udyog Bharathi' is not a competitively initiated organization. Rather, it is an industry organization that operates solely for the purpose of assisting the growth of micro and small businesses.

Coimbatore: 'Laghu Udyog Bharati' is an organization that helps in the development of micro and small entrepreneurs across the country. In Tamil Nadu, it has branches in 17 districts and has over 1,700 members.

'Laghu Udyog Bharati', Tamil Nadu, Joint General Secretary, M. Sivakumar said “Laghu Udyog Bharati is an organization for all Indian small and micro-enterprises. Various activities are being carried out for the development of industry and entrepreneurship. It has more than 30,000 members from various departments across the country.”

"We have recently launched a new division for small businesses. Under the theme 'Six Pillars' we have defined various tasks and are taking efforts to promote micro and small entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu. For example, our organization is helping to promote the industry that excels in every district across Tamil Nadu, including the toys from Thanjavur and food processing factories in Madurai. Our aim is to develop businesses that strengthen the friendship between similar entrepreneurs nationally.”

“In view of the various crises faced by small businesses in the wake of the spread of the coronavirus, we have been bringing to the attention of the Government the assistance required for the development of these industries. Following the spread of the disease, our organization has been making various contributions not only to the development of the industry, but also towards social development. In today's scenario, there is a lack of awareness among entrepreneurs in the micro and unorganized sector about the schemes implemented by the government and the basic qualifications required to obtain them.”

“Most people do not even have a bank account in particular. With this in mind, we are educating entrepreneurs in such segments about the business development programs of the Central Government and providing them with the necessary assistance to avail schemes.”

“Initially we had branches in Chennai, Coimbatore and Tirupur only. But now due to the constructive efforts made in the last five years our business organization has opened branches in 14 districts. The total number of branches has increased to 17. More than 1,700 have been added as members. We are planning to open branches of 'Laghu Udyog Bharati' in 25 districts in Tamil Nadu by March 2022. It is not a competitively initiated organization. Rather, it is an industry organization that operates solely for the purpose of assisting the growth of micro and small businesses."
