The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin met the public through video conferencing on 6th February, to campaign for the upcoming local body elections.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin campaigned through video conferencing in Coimbatore on Sunday, for the urban local body elections 2022.
DMK has fulfilled almost all the promises we made, within a year of assuming office”, stated Chief Minister MK Stalin, at the online campaign in Coimbatore.
The announcement of dates for the urban local polls in Tamil Nadu has kept the ball rolling in the city, as various parties and the independent candidates filed nominations to contests and are campaigning. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, on Sunday, launched the campaign through video conferencing, in Coimbatore.
The Chief Minister had launched his first video campaign in Coimbatore. A screen was set up to telecast the virtual campaign in Coimbatore's Kavundampalayam area. The Chief Minister, adding that he is meeting the public through video conferencing due to the pandemic, stated that he was happy to launch the campaign on the birth anniversary of farmer leader, Narayanasamy Naidu.
He said that the DMK government had fulfilled Narayanasamy's four main demands viz., free electricity, cancellation of farm loans, appropriate prices for agricultural products, and recognition of the agricultural industry. 'Bringing down the 10-year-regime of the opposition, the public has placed DMK in the throne and is the example of good governance.'
The Chief Minister also said that DMK rule has been an example of better governance and stated that the party has to grab the throne in the upcoming local body elections as well, like they did in the assembly elections. He assured that the basic requirements of small and marginal industries in Coimbatore would be met.
Recalling that it was the party that included the Kongu Velar people in Coimbatore in the Backward Classes list, the Chief Minister said that so far, 620 lives have been saved under the DMK’s ‘Innuyir Kappom’ scheme in Coimbatore. Laying the foundation stone for new roads at 128 places and upgrading 3 Town Panchayats to municipalities, was also done by the DMK, the CM informed.
He assured that the fight to ban NEET in TN is in progress and accused the previous state government of allowing the Union Government revoke the NEET bill.
