Coimbatore: Senthil Balaji, the Electricity & Prohibition and Excise, said at the introductory meeting of the DMK candidates in Coimbatore's Kuniyamuthur area that the DMK candidates should make the public aware of the special schemes implemented by the DMK government during the last 8 months and ask for votes in the urban local body elections. The minister also assured that if the DMK candidates emerge victorious in the local body elections, the party will continue to do good for the public in Coimbatore.

The introductory program for the DMK and alliance candidates contesting in the single-phase urban local body elections was held recently in various parts of Coimbatore district. Minister Senthil Balaji was present on the occasion and introduced the candidates.
