On Sunday morning, the locals alerted the forest department staff after they found an elephant
lying on the ground in a semi - unconscious state. The foresters led by Ranger Arun, administered first aid and informed Vet Manoharan, who is presently treating the elephant.

According to reports, the elephant is in a dehydrated state and administered with glucose and multi vitamins to help it regain its strength.
