The Coimbatore City Corporation Administrations has issued a stringent warning to the contractors of Sanitary Workers that, the license will be nullified if the contractors do not provide safety equipment to the sanitary workers
Coimbatore: The Corporation will hereafter nullify the license of the contractors if they fail to provide safety equipment to the sanitary workers. Corporation Urban Welfare Officer Satish Kumar said in a letter to all the sanitary work contractors stated that the sanitary workers, working on a contract basis, in all five zones and the central offices have to be issued gloves, cut shoes, flash suit.
“Safety equipment, disinfectant, and masks should be provided. In case of failure in supplying these, action will be taken against the contractors concerned. In case of further negligence, the contract license shall be cancelled.”
The sanitary worker's details, such as Aadhar, Mobile number, and bank account number has to be provided to facilitate SMS intimation regarding the ESI deducted in monthly wages and UAN number code for provident fund amount, password, personal deduction, and the details shall be submitted at the office, the contractors were informed.
