The urban local body elections’ vote counting centres for Coimbatore has been released and a total of 17 centres will be functioning on 22nd, for counting votes.
Coimbatore: The list of a total of 17 vote counting centres in Coimbatore for the local polls is released.
The urban local body elections will be held across the state in a single phase on the 19th of February and the votes will subsequently be counted on 22nd. The list of vote counting centres for the corporation, municipality and town panchayats have been released. The Government College of Technology will be functioning as the centre for the corporation.
7 centres viz., the Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School for Mettupalayam, Pollachi Nallamuthu Gowder Mahalingam College for Pollachi, for Valparai-Government College of Arts and Science, Valparai, Karamadai-Metro Matriculation School, Kuttuyur, Gudalur- Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya Polytechnic College, Periyanayakenpalayam, Karumathampatti- St. Joseph Girls Higher Secondary School, Krishnapuram and for Madukkarai- Sri Narayana Guru Polytechnic College, Madukkarai.
Further, for a total of 33 town panchayats, 9 Centres have been allocated namely,
1. Amarar Muthukounder Government Higher Secondary School, Annur - (Mopperipalayam, Sirumugai, Annur)
2. VRT Women's Higher Secondary, Anaimalai - (Anaimalai, Zamin Uthukuli, Vettaikaranpudur, Odayakulam)
3. Pioneer Mills Higher Secondary School, Jyotipuram, Periyanaickenpalayam - (Periyanaickenpalayam, No.4 Veerapandi, Narasimhanaickenpalayam)
4. Government Men's Higher Secondary School, Malaiyandipattinam, Kottur - (Kottur, Sooneswaranpatti, Samathur).
5. Government Higher Secondary, Premier Mills, Othakkalmandapam - (Othakkalmandapam, Chettipalayam, Vellalore, Kinathukadavu, Periyanegamam, Ettimadai, Thirumalaiyampalayam)
