Coimbatore: The city police arrested two people of a three member gang who attacked two brothers for not offering water bottle at the TASMAC outlet.
Joji and his brother were attacked by a three member gang who reportedly wanted to take revenge as Joji refused to share his water bottle with the gang.
Joji is the son of Alphonse, who lives behind St. Antony’s Church in Puliyakulam and works at a small hotel in the city. Joji and his brother, who were drinking at the TASMAC outlet in the area were approached by a man seeking the water bottle, which Joji refused to give.
He along with two others attacked Joji and his brother who were walking in Puliyakulam after a while they left the TASMAC.The gang reportedly abused the brothers and attacked them with a hidden knife.
The two survived injuries on the head and hands. They were immediately rescued by neighbours and sent to a government hospital. JoJi also lodged a complaint with Ramanathapuram police station. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested Vijay, the son of Bhaskar of Ramanathapuram area, and Pradeep Kumar, son of Arumugam. A search is launched for Charles who was a part of the gang.
