The schools in Tirupur reopened on Tuesday after being shut for 2 months due to the third wave concerns in the state and the students were elated going back to school.
Tirupur:The schools in Tirupur reopened on Tuesday, 1st of February after being shut for two months.
As many as 1,882 schools in Tirupur including 1,412 government and government-aided schools and 470 private schools started functioning on Tuesday. The students were elated going back to school.
There are 2,34,081 students studying in government schools and 1, 97,047 students in private schools in the district, of which more than 90 percent showed up on the first day.
Schools and classrooms were cleaned and disinfected and kept ready as schools are opening after the third wave of corona. Teachers welcomed the students and there were scenes where parents dropped off children at the schools. A section of students were also seen eagerly boarding school busses.
